Sunless Tanning What is Sunless Tanning?

Sunless Tanning uses simulated sunlight or chemicals applied to the surface of the skin to produce an effect similar in appearance to a traditional suntan.

What are the different methods of Sunless Tanning?

There are several methods of Sunless Tanning. Some methods are more effective than others, but techniques include self-tanning lotions, self-tanning sprays, tanning beds, cosmetic bronzers and mists. The most effective product is a spray tanner with dihydroxyacetone (DHA).

How does Sunless Tanning work?

Bronzers work by staining the skin temporarily. Tanning beds work by simulating the sun. Lotions, sprays and mists work by using DHA, which is a colorless chemical that interacts with the amino acids in dead skin cells to produce a brown color change.

Are there any possible side effects?

With chemical tanners, there are no side effects, unless you have an allergic reaction to the ingredients, which is rare. Tanning beds have the same side effects associated with prolonged sun exposure.

How soon will results appear?

Some Sunless Tanning methods yield immediate results, and others require hours before taking effect.

Who are candidates for Sunless Tanning?

Those who want a quick result, are fair skinned, easily burn or do not wish to damage their skin with natural sunlight are candidates for Sunless Tanning.

Who should avoid Sunless Tanning?

Those with abnormal skin lesions or certain skin conditions (with the exception of psoriasis) may wish to avoid Sunless Tanning.

Is additional treatment necessary?

What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are a totally new way to extend the length and thickness of your eyelashes. They are applied on a hair-by-hair basis to your own lashes for a totally natural look.

How long do they last?

When properly applied, Lashes can last up to two months or more. Touch-ups are recommended after initial full set application to replace any lashes that might have fallen off. Properly applied lashes will last for the length of the natural growth cycle of each eyelash hair.

How do I care for my Lash Extensions?

Care must be taken not to rub eyes, or scratch. Also, any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, or cleansers containing oils can loosen the bond of Lash Extensions. Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly with avoidance of the lash line area. Mascara can be worn with Extensions, although we do not recommend the use of waterproof mascara as it can dissolve the bonding element. Many clients find that they no longer need to use mascara with their extensions.

A Massage increases oxygen flow in the blood, releases toxins from the muscles and shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid and metabolic wastes.
